Biography of Andrew Perutz, Broadband Wales
Andrew was appointed as Head of Marketing of the Welsh Assembly Governments Broadband Wales Unit in October 2003. Andrew is responsible for a team of 10 that includes the Taskforce who are based in each of the 4 economic fora of Wales. The marketing teams responsibility is to ensure that there is consistent and comprehensive messaging to public, private and domestic sectors with regard to the benefits and application advantages of broadband, to encourage the uptake of broadband and to ensure that the dynamic of demand/supply encourages infrastructure investment.
Andrew has over 20 years experience in International Marketing and has held both Brand and Marketing Director positions as well as running a small marketing and trademark diversification consultancy. Andrew has also had responsibilities as sales Director and as International Research Manager.
Andrew has worked with companies including Cadbury Schweppes, Avon Cosmetics, British American Tobacco and the BAR F1 Racing Team.
