Biography of Andrea Kennedy, Shaw Trust

Andrea Kennedy is the Web Accessibility Officer for the Shaw Trust, a National ’Pan-disability’ Charity that provides training and work opportunities for people who are disadvantaged in the labour market due to disability, ill health or other social circumstances. Shaw Trust is also the largest UK provider of employment services for disabled people.

Andrea specialises in Assistive Technology software packages and has designed and delivered training in a wide range of Assistive Technologies throughout the UK. Andrea is the Web/Assistive Technology consultant for Shaw Trust Web Accreditation Services and has for 2 years developed and co-ordinated the STWA Services Team, based at the Trust’s Disability Action Centre, Neath, South Wales.

Andrea is also a member of the International Guild of Web Designers. Her clients include: The department of Work and Pension, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Welsh Development Agency, ELWa and ILA Wales.
