Launch of South Wales Software Developers Group
Sketty Hall
Swansea
Wednesday 23rd
November
7.30am - 9am
In May 2005 Dr Robert Gittins, ITWales Bangor, launched a Software Developers Special Interest Group to meet local demands. Developers who attended ITWales events had expressed concern
that they worked in isolation, rarely had contact with other developers and were out of touch with either the local academic community or other software companies.
The North Wales group now successfully brings together software practitioners, academics and interested managers who meet informally to exploit networking and business opportunities. The monthly
meetings also provide a great learning opportunity with presentations covering a wide range of topics relevant to the software industries.
ITWales is now bringing this successful group to South Wales to offer local software developers similar opportunities and to ultimately establish pan Wales collaboration amongst Welsh developers.
If you are a developer and believe you could benefit from participation in this exciting new venture or would simply like the opportunity to come along and find out more then this event is a must!
