Web Accessibility - What every business needs to know.
Friday 18th
November
8.30am - 11.30am
National Botanic Garden of Wales
Llanarthne, Carmarthen
The Disabilities Discrimination Act requires all websites to be accessible by users with disabilities. It is law.
As the World Wide Web grows in both size and popularity accessibility becomes an increasingly important issue. People with certain disabilities can find it difficult or even impossible to access,
navigate, or read the content of a web page if the information isn't presented correctly.
Ensuring your virtual business environment is accessible to people with disabilities is now a legal requirement, in the same way as you have to ensure premises meet certain physical requirements
and standards.
This event will guide you through the process of making sure your website can be accessed by all and highlight some of the simple techniques that can
overcome the potential barriers between you and your disabled customer.
Speakers include:
Andrea Kennedy, Shaw Trust
Grant Broome, CDSM
Dave Taylor, Imaginet
