The more complex computer processes become, the more important it is that they have data which is accurate, timely, and complete, and the more dire the consequences of poor data quality become. And yet the twin enemies of hand written documents and keyboard entry are still far too prevalent amongst users of IT systems.
All is not lost, the technologies collectively known as Automatic Identification and Data Capture AIDC, such as bar codes, Radio Frequency Identification and Biometrics can help.
In this event Hywel Williams, Project Manager of the National AIDC Centre for Wales will share his knowledge and experience as to what can be done, what happens if you adopt these technologies, and even what can happen if you dont.
This workshop is part of the programme of events by Software Alliance Wales, which is funded by the EUs Convergence European Social Fund through the Welsh Assembly Government.
