Helen Bowden

Station Director, The Wave & Swansea Sound

Helen Bowden has over 20 years experience in the radio industry and began her radio career with Severn Sound in Gloucester as co-host on the Breakfast Show. She has worked for some of the biggest radio players in the country.

Helen spent her teenage years in Mumbles and returned to Swansea in her twenties to take time out before taking time out before joining The Childrens Society charity.

Helen moved to to Radio Wave in Blackpool as Programme Manager and became Station Director four years ago. She was also chair of the Blackpool BID, a member of the Business Leader group and The Childrens Trust Board. She instigated the Local Hero Awards in Blackpool as well as the Culture & Lifestyle Awards and her station recently won UTV Station of the Year.

Helen is married with two children and the family are moving to Swansea at Easter.
