To celebrate International Womens Day 2010, ITWales has once again organised the annual event, "Women Shaping the Future of Wales".
Now in its 9th year, the event provides an insight into the diverse range of business and career opportunities for women in the 21st Century and offers a platform for sharing experiences, knowledge and best practice for women working with science and technology.
The event will be hosted by Broadcaster Mai Davies and we are delighted to announce that our confirmed speakers to date are:
- Anna Bastek, Co-founder, Wolfestone Translation Ltd
- Dr Mikhaila Burgess, Lecturer, Cardiff School of Computer Science, Cardiff University
- Helen Bowden, Director, The Wave & Swansea Sound
This year the event will commence with a drinks reception at 6.30pm, with guests seated for supper at 7pm. Our inspirational speakers will take the stage at 8.30pm following the supper, and proceedings draw to a close at 10pm, although guests are welcome to enjoy drinks and networking until 11pm.
BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, will be supporting the event, and part of the proceedings will include the launch of the Women @ BCS in Wales group.
