Guest speakers: Matthew Worrall and Phil Turner, Samarind
At this event, our speakers will discuss the future of software as it migrates to a web based model, including the challenges of delivering software as a service SaaS.
Matthew Worrall and Phil Turner work for Samarind who offer complete network, software and web solutions. Matthew heads Samarinds web development team and will deliver the technical parts of the presentation. He has 9 years experience in the web development field and has vast experience in a wide variety of web technologies including ASP.NET, ASP, JSP, PHP, XHTML, CSS, XML and XSL, coupled with keen design skills and proven results with search engine optimisation. Matt is also an advocate of Web Standards, meaning he develops websites to be cross-browser and cross-platform effective, and follows accessibility guidelines as standard procedure.
Phil is responsible for the commercial side of Samarinds web development services and will deliver the non technical parts of the presentation. He has almost twenty years experience working in various commercial and project management roles. Phil is not a developer; however he understands the commercial benefits of the Internet and is an advocate of utilizing the web as a key business tool.
