Please note new venue for this eventThis workshop will guide practising programmers and software development managers through the process of embracing change from ad hoc practices to a more formalised software development methodology - with as little pain as possible. The workshop will be an overview of Agile Methods, in particular to the fundamental principles and practices of ’Extreme Programming’ XP.
Dr Robert Gittins has first-hand experience of providing companies with support during the adoption of Extreme Programming, a novel software development methodology developed in the USA.
At the end of the workshop, individuals or companies seriously considering adopting XP methods will be able to discuss opportunities for attending introductory or advanced training and mentoring, group-wide and in-house.
This event forms part of the ITWales Software Developers programme and is supported by the Welsh Assembly Government.
