Guest speaker Dewi Bryn Jones from the Language Technologies Unit (Canolfan Bedwyr) at the University of Wales, Bangor will discuss the role of language technologies in benefiting the language communities of Wales and further a field. Linguistic infrastructures are being established or re-enforced as part of a rapidly evolving information and communication society. Activities involving language resources and technologies for Welsh in diverse areas in the public, private and academic sectors are facilitating localisation, multilingual communication and globalisation.
