thinkSMS signs a client of the cloth

 thinkSMS.co.uk, the Cardiff-based mobile messaging company, has added the Bethel Baptist Church to its growing list of clients. Bethel has begun providing its parishioners with 'Wisdom
To Live By', inspirational messages sent using the thinkSMS.co.uk bulk messaging service.
The church piloted the service for about 2 months last year, which was well received; about three quarters of the congregation had access to mobile phones, of which 60% subscribed to the service which at
that point was being delivered manually.
Simeon Baker, Pastor of Bethel, notes: "The Bible is full of practical advice for daily life, but people are often too busy to read it every day. W2LB recognises that most of us now have a mobile phone, so we
send out a quote as a text message three times a week".
"It is such a popular service that we have opened it up to enable anyone in the UK with a mobile phone to receive W2LB".
With thinkSMS.co.uk technology, Bethel can manage the service via the company's website. Messages are sent three times a week, and cost less than £1 to the subscriber. One of the key attractions to the
thinkSMS.co.uk service is the option for reverse billing, which means that Bethel gets 4p back for every message sent. The church plans to donate this revenue to Compassion UK, a charity organisation
helping children in developing countries.
ThinkSMS.co.uk has recently provided Web to SMS services to Genus Breeding Ltd, SMS Alerts to Cumbrian Newspapers Ltd, and 2 Way SMS services to Platinum Ice Promotions.
