Profile: Freshline Limited itwales.com talks to Torstein Soerlid, Director at Freshline Limited, about a media company of Norwegian and Welsh parentage. What products/services does your company provide? Freshline provides the following services to its customers: Web design: Flash sites; database-driven sites; business presentation sites; e-commerce sites (database or JavaScript solution) . Web hosting: PHP4/ASP/ASP.NET; POP3 email accounts; SSL secure space; Real Media/Windows media streaming; WAP; CGI-BIN; Perl. Film/editing: VHS/VCD/DVD creation; wedding videos; training videos; script; writing; editing/special effects. Illustrations: Children's book illustrations; illustrations for any media (i.e. books, web sites etc.) ; landscape paintings; magazine illustrations; calendars; postcards. Graphic design: Company profile; stationery (i.e. letterheads, envelopes, business cards etc.) ; flyers; logos; adverts (i.e. for Newspapers, Magazines etc.) . Multimedia design: Shockwave games; 2D/3D animation; interactive CDs; Business Presentations; Teaching Aids; Awareness/Information Presentations; Promotional CDs (for exhibitions or advertising seminars etc.) ; integration of 2D and 3D content/animation into any multimedia project. Business start-up package: Limited company registration; corporate identity; stationery; website (e-commerce/business presentation etc.) ; support (business plan/marketing etc.) . What's unique/outstanding about your products/services? We take pride in our work. Our work is only done once the customer is 100% satisfied. The quality of our work far exceeds our prices. What's the history of your company? Freshline was formed a couple of years ago and is a fusion between a Norwegian advertising agency and a Welsh counterpart. Where do you see the company going in the future? We are opening a division in Athens in August 2003. Our main office will remain UK-based. We plan to expand primarily in most of the UK but also in most of mainland Greece. Freshline will be a worldwide definition of good design within the next 10-15 years. What one piece of technology (software/hardware/other) has benefited your company the most? Adobe Photoshop, without a doubt! We use this for most of our work. What one piece of advice would you give to start-up companies in your field? Keep your spending and investments to a minimum when you start off. It is really tempting to buy all that fancy equipment and latest hardware, but is it really necessary to start with? What's been the key to your success? Our determination and ambitions are our primary drive forces. We are realistic and never charge more than we have to. We strive to keep our customers happy and keep our expenses and overheads to a minimum. This means that we can continue to offer our high-quality services at low prices. Both Freshline directors have relevant backgrounds, and between us we possess all knowledge and competence necessary to provide any of our services.
