Focus on Mobile and Information Technologies

A series of business events held in Margam Park during the last week of May and organised by IT Wales and the WDA was a success with over 156 attendees.

These series of events focussed on mobile, future and information technologies and consisted of workshops and a team-building event.

The week started with a business breakfast in the Orangery. Over 40 businesses attended to listen to a presentation by the WDA highlighting the connectivity options in the Swansea Bay area for broadband.

The workshops were held in the WDA’s state-of-the-art technology trailer and covered topics such as: ’E-marketing’, ’Creating your own website’, ’Digital Imagery’, ’Are you getting the best out of your computer packages?’.

The team-building event was held in the Professional Development Centre in Margam Park and gave businesses and business support agencies the opportunity to test some of the latest mobile communication devices.
