What's the history of the company?
Formed in 1995, Meridian was set-up to offer local companies access to high quality design, reprographic and print services at
realistic prices. The reason for our success is simple. We started by offering a service to our clients that all the other agencies did
not. We listened, understood and delivered - and we continue to do so.
Where do you see the company going in the future?
Our mission is `to be the marketing services agency
of choice
'. We want everyone to know just how good we are and to strive to use us.
We have a 5-year rolling strategic plan. So far we have maintained a position one year ahead and achieved the objectives of Meridian
and our clients. We have recently installed a digital print process (with funding from the Welsh Assembly) selected to offer our clients
what they want - impact, speed of turnaround, quality and of course value.
What one piece of technology (software/hardware/other) has benefited your company the most?
We obviously could not operate without the most up to date equipment and software but we believe that it's our people that make the
difference. We are an Investor in People (IIP) Company and if our team is performing at 100% then the tools they use will be at 110%.
What one piece of advice would you give to start-up companies in your field?
Don't re-invent the wheel; seek advice from those who have done it before. The business support
agencies provide excellent information and advice in what to do to launch a company but if you need down to earth advice on how to do it
speak to a quality supplier who will provide this information
free of charge
as a part of the service. If you have a good idea, enough enthusiasm and the right support, then success should be the result.
